Hi, I’m Sharon!

I’ve lived in Florida and Michigan but moved to Colorado in 2007. Since then, I’ve dabbled in gardening by planting annuals, perennials, and a couple of peach trees. Early on, I attempted an in-ground vegetable garden but that didn’t end well. Hail took out my best tomato plant, earwigs infested the corn, and all plants were stunted from the parched, clay soil. Gardening in Colorado was so different from other places!

I was determined to have a successful kitchen garden, however. After exhaustive research, I tried again with two elevated beds, a few containers, and proper irrigation. This setup resulted in delicious vegetables and herbs! Since then, I’ve been hooked on gardening and continue to learn, experiment, and expand my gardening skills.

You could say that I'm slightly obsessed with gardening and all things nature. I am a biologist by education, after all, and truly enjoy the scientific aspect. When I’m not gardening, I volunteer in my community as a master gardener, camp, hike, and hang out with my family.

Cheers!
